We left Lake St. George around 8am in search of Freedom…Freedom, Maine, that is. It was only 17 miles away so it was a short search.
We were looking forward to shopping at the Freedom Farmers Market on the grounds of Erin French’s famous Lost Kitchen restaurant. We were a little early as we arrived around 8am and the market didn’t open until noon.
When it did open, we had a great time, bought lots of food and had great pizza and ice cream. More details later along with lots of photos from Ellen.
After the market, we drove four hours to Cobscook Bay State Park to meet up with Ellen’s brother, Bob and his partner, Beth. They were driving from Vermont, but we amazingly arrived within a couple of minutes of each other.
We are overnighting here and will plan more travels in the morning.
More details of today later, hopefully tomorrow.
