Another Wet Travel Day

The rain doesn’t seem to want to quit in the Maritimes. It was gray and drizzling when we left Whycocomagh and it got worse as we drove towards Moncton. For one stretch it was a real downpour with the wipers on high just barely clearing the windshield. It got better after Moncton and was just cloudy by the time we reached St. John.
When we got to New River Beach Provincial Park it was dense fog along the shore but not in the campground on the other side of the road.

We had no problem getting a site without a reservation and picked a nice flat one near the entrance. We had stayed at this park before. I hadn’t remembered, Ellen was sure and she was correct as it was obvious to me (finally) when we arrived. A short walk in the fog and Speedy Pasta for dinner and we were done for the night.
