A Wide State

It’s no Texas, but Tennessee is certainly a wide state. We spent the entire afternoon crossing it and still have 160 miles to the Mississippi River. Virginia is no slouch either as it took the morning to go the length of the Virginia section of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Tennessee border. It was another fine day to travel, clear, dry and cool and there was only traffic through Knoxville and Nashville. After 667 miles we parked Speedy at the Cracker Barrel in Dickson, TN.

Tomorrow we should cross the Mississippi and be in the “West”.
