It is just a couple of days until we strike off to Alaska. Speedy will be taking the long route...as if there is a short route from New England. We are going in tandem with our friends, Harry and Sally (and Nina, the dog, of course).
We'll be going north through the Adirondacks, across Ontario to Ste. Sault Marie into Michigan, then west on mostly US 2 all the way to Glacier National Park.
After a bit of a respite at Glacier, we will return to a northern path through the Canadian National Parks of Banff and Jasper in Alberta, then into northeastern British Columbia to the Yukon. While traversing the Yukon, we hope to take a detour up the Dempster Highway to visit above the Arctic Circle, hopefully around the Summer Solstice.
From the Yukon, it will be on to Alaska where we will stop in Fairbanks before going on to Denali National Park in mid-July where we have our only camping reservations.
After that we'll be going where there are roads.
Have a great trip Speedy!Sorry we are missing your departure, only by days. Your plans sound awesome. And the new box is very impressive.
