Another really short catch-up post to the Speedy Journal.
Tom, Jean and Kathy left Hopper's Landing this morning on their way to Big Bend. We, on the other hand, resigned ourselves to a cold bird walk, as the weather decided to blow cold once more. We only saw 17 species, all the common ones we've seen here except for dozen Purple Martins that stopped to overnight at the martin house right across from Speedy's site. I think they just wanted shelter from the cold wind and were gone the next morning.
Being a cold, damp Sunday, laundry, reading and computers were the order of the day. It was time to do our taxes. That took most of the afternoon and evening.
