We were intending to go to the Muriwai Gannet colony tomorrow, followed by a couple of days at Whangaparāoa to visit Tiritiri Matangi island and Shakespear Regional Park before our final birding stop at Tawharanui Regional Park east of Warkworth.
But Muriwai and Tawharanui are not going to happen as they are both still closed due to cyclone damage.
So, we will be off to Whangaparāoa tomorrow to Shakespear Regional Park and two nights at Gulf Harbour with a Tiritiri Matangi trip on Sunday.
We will be returning to Waiheke for 10 days of rest before returning to Cohasset, where we hope there will be no snow.
Thanks for the link Steve finally got caught up with your travels. Reading about you digs reminded me of the great campgrounds in NZ some with quite nice accomodations. Looking forward to hearing more when you get back.
