Our travels to France complete, it wa time to start back home. Today was a pure travel day. We made a fairly early start and drive back up the Burin Peninsula to the Trans-Canada and turned east. We covered ground we’d traveled before, going back through Terra Nova NP, stopping only for fuel, lunch and a short grocery stop in Gander.
We settled for the evening at Geoge Huxter Memorial Park in Springdale. It started to rain after dinner, but that is expected to be gone before morning.
Tomorrow it is back to J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park for a couple of nights ang some birding in the Codroy Valley. It will be on to Nova Scotia on Sunday.
