Super-premium ice cream is back!
Hornstra Farms, from where our milk is delivered, has a new farm store. They have their own farm-made ice cream from cream from their own cows. It is really, really good (especially the blueberry).
The farm is in Norwell. The store is there and it carries all of the items one can order for home delivery (see their site for the list). They have an ice cream stand next to the store. The cows are also right there. You can walk over and see them as you eat your ice cream.
The last time I stopped by, it was midday, midweek and the parking lot was filled.
Good Espresso comes to Cohasset
baked. This is a really good cupcake shop that moved from North Scituate to Cohasset Village a while back. It has taken up residence in the old jail. They recently added coffee, hired a professional barista and the coffee is quite good...not to mention the baked goods.(Update: It is all in the barista. If Mark is there you'll get a very good cup, otherwise I wouldn't chance it. The backup staff is not trained in espresso! I had a great cafe latte in the morning, but an almost undrinkable one in the afternoon when a fill-in person was there. Same coffee, same milk, same equipment, but no technique.)

The coffee comes from Fazenda Coffee in Jamaica Plain. They also have about 20 varieties of cupcakes as well as muffins, biscotti and cookies.
