A short post today. It was back to the office.
It is still cold and rainy, so we spent the day indoors entering citation records for the many scientific and technical papers that are piled in the office. So many journals we've never heard of—three different journals in Weed Science, for example. The job of finding and citing research papers has got much easier than in our early science days. Virtually everything except internal reports can be found online, at least the abstract and downloadable citation data, and in many cases, the full text of the paper.
The earliest document we've cataloged was a small book on the economic importance of alligators from 1929.
It is supposed to clear by tomorrow and start to warm up. We are once again scheduled to go over to Matagorda Island for the day. We'll see.
No new photo today and no birds.
